Living Care Pharmacy is a third generation family business. We opened our first pharmacy in east Leeds in 1974 and now have pharmacies throughout the Yorkshire region.
Over the past 40 years we have worked hard to build our business. We pride ourselves on our reliable and trustworthy service, and have invested in the latest technologies to make sure our customers receive the very best patient care.
Each of our pharmacies provides a caring and dependable service tailored to local needs. Unlike many large multinational pharmacy chains, we listen carefully to our customers and adapt our pharmacies to suit the needs of the local area.
Working hard to support the NHS, we try to minimise medicine waste. Our Repeat Prescription system is designed to only order medication when it is needed.
We are an environmentally-friendly company too and do everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint, for example the small delivery cars we use are very fuel efficient.
Many pharmacy companies export medicines for profit which can cause shortages for patients in the UK but we don’t do that. Living Care Pharmacy prefers to be a medicine supply chain-friendly pharmacy.
We work closely with our suppliers to make sure our medicine stocks are plentiful. However we will inform you and your GP if our stocks begin to run low, giving your GP time to prescribe an alternative medication if necessary.
Caring for you
We’d like you to think of us as an important part of your NHS healthcare team. So, if you have any healthcare concerns at all, please ask your local Living Care pharmacist.
Seeing your pharmacist first enables the GP to deal with priority appointments, and if we can’t help, we will of course refer you to your GP.
We also provide an Out-of-Hours service if you need emergency health advice or pharmacy deliveries.
Branches which provide the Out-of-Hours service are:
Alwoodley Medical Centre – Open till late all weekdays as well as open at the weekend
227 Dewsbury Road – Open till late all weekdays as well as open at the weekend
Street Lane Practice – Open till late on selected weekdays
57 Blossom Street – Open on a Saturday only
A fresh approach to NHS prescriptions
When it comes to providing repeat prescriptions our approach is totally flexible. You can manage your repeat prescriptions yourself or we can help if you prefer. We deliver repeat prescriptions to wherever you need them – home or work – and whenever you need them. We won’t deliver if you have an adequate supply and don’t need them.
Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire
Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services that we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The report of our survey results allows us to identify the areas where we are performing most strongly, the areas for improvement and the actions required to address issues raised by respondents.
